Elected Officers
These five full time officers were elected by UH students during the last academic year and began their year of office in July 2009. The positions are; VP Communications & Media, VP Academic Support & Campaigns, VP Union Development, and VP Student Activities.
Each has a particular job role to fulfil, as well as their group responsibilities of reporting to council, attending meetings and conferences on behalf of UH students and as trustees of UHSU.
These are the people who represent you, the students at UH; they want to hear from you, so that they can give voice to your concerns, needs and wants. They also want to share in your successes and the good times, celebrating and having fun as only students can.

Dawn Hamlet - Vice President, Academic Support and Campaigns
Main focus
As I've been re-elected my main focus is to help the other sabbs the way the previous sabbaticals helped me. This is a 3.5million pound organisation; they need to hit the ground running. I want to uphold what I've been currently doing. The volunteer recognition evening will be a focus next year as well. I would like it to be a dinner as next year. It has potential to expand.
My skills
I have a huge laugh! I'm easy to get on with which is important when working close together. I have a sound business head. Most importantly I love my job, I love the UHSU and I want more students to get involved.
What is Academic Support and Campaigns about?
It's about engaging more students, something I want to continue this year. I want to expand on campaigns especially. I'm here for any support, academic or campaigns.
My aim this year
I think we need to work together as a team. Especially with The Forum as it could make or break us. It is a positive of course, but it isn't integral to what we do. The new sabbs are excited about it of course, we all are. We must not forget that it's not about money. We represent the students. The minute we forget that we cease to exist.
