Any registered UH student that holds a valid and current NUS card can become a member of UHSU Student Council.

Student Council is the most important committee that exists in any union. Members have the collective responsibility of: adopting policies that direct the work we do; consider our affiliations; ensure that all of our aims and objectives are adhered to; adopt union budgets; and most importantly, hold the elected officers and representatives accountable for their work.

Only members of the council can regularly question the Executive Committee on their work and the decisions they carry out in representing you. Only members of the Council can vote on new procedures and policies. Only members of the council have the power to change the student experience at UH. Your Student Council is made up of the following elected members:

• Independent Chair

• Deputy Independent Chair

• 5 Sabbatical Trustees

• 3 Student Trustees

• St. Albans Campus Officer

• de Havilland Campus Officer

• Chair of Societies Federation
